DRT Videos is a person project of mine. I have always enjoyed playing video games and have fond memories of my brothers watching me play as I would adventure through new virtual worlds. DRT Videos is a website where others can watch games that I have played. DRT Videos is also a website to link to other video game videos that others have made. It would be impossible to play and record all the video games I am interested in, so I will link to others who have created high quality videos of video games as well. Jacob, who created the design for DRT Videos, is also involved in recording and uploading new videos.

To created the first thing that I used was Youtube.com to upload very high quality videos, many of the video are over 300MB in size, and I used the emfield module to easily link to the Youtube video. The core book module is used to do the video navigation. Google adsense and the adsense module is being used to hopefully generate some revenue.

One part of the site which I am proud of is the searching ability. The site naturally has the problem of finding content as there are many videos. Using the search the user can quickly find videos they want to see and use filters to narrow the search results. The module search config was very helpful in configuring the search to show only the relevant content.

Finally the views module was used heavily to create the front page and the New Content page. The expose filter feature of views was used for giving users the ability to sort the front page. Also, page template overrides were used to insert ads into the front page results.

All in all, I am very happy with the site and I am enjoying adding new content. I am trying to have at least one new video every day but I'm hoping for more in the future. Please stop by and watch a few videos!
